The 2020 UN Climate Conference is the 26th Climate Change Conference. It was scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, in November 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, it was postponed and will now be held from 31 October to 12 November 2021. The conference will be hosted by the United Kingdom and Italy.

With the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the parties agreed to prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system and to stabilise greenhouse gas emissions. To date, 197 countries have ratified the convention. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is also known by its acronym UNFCCC.

The Climate Change Conference or 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) is also simultaneously the 16th Meeting of the Parties to the 1997 Kyoto Protocol (CMP16) and the 5th Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 3).

COP26 is the follow-up conference to COP25, which took place in Madrid, Spain, in December 2019.
