Communicating environmental information correctly as a company
When can products be described as recyclable and when as water-saving? How can the environmental benefits of a product be used in marketing? What forms of environmental labelling exist for products and services? The aim of this brochure, published jointly by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the German Environment Agency (UBA) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), is to provide a value-free overview of the possibilities and instruments of product-related environmental information. It focuses on voluntary approaches that companies can use in addition to providing legally binding information.
