Ergebnisse einer repräsentativen Bevölkerungsumfrage
The Study on Environmental Awareness 2018 (Umweltbewusstseinsstudie) is the twelfth survey of its kind since 1996. Every two years, the survey examines developments in environmental awareness and environmental behaviour in Germany. The studies are carried out on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) by the German Environment Agency (UBA) and help provide a sound socio-scientific basis for environmental policy and environmental communication.
People in Germany expect better integration of environmental protection and climate action into other policy areas. The majority of those surveyed believe a fundamental policy change is needed in the three key policy areas of energy, agriculture and transport. Environmental protection and climate action should play a bigger role in these policy areas and shape them to a greater extent.
