zur nachhaltigen Verringerung der Exposition gegenüber Radon
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive noble gas. It is invisible, odorless and tasteless and is produced as an intermediate in the decomposition of naturally occurring radioactive substances in the soil. Radon can penetrate into buildings through pathways and accumulate in the room air. The decay of radon and its decay products in the lungs is the second leading cause of lung cancer in Germany after tobacco smoking.
The radon action plan provides information about the planned measures by the federal government and the states to protect against radon in Germany.
