"PFAS - Dealing with contaminants of emerging concern"
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are organic fluorine compounds found in the environment worldwide in soils, ground- and surface waters and in the blood and tissue of animals and humans.
In the context of the German EU Council Presidency, the PFAS Conference serves the exchange of information and the share of best practices internationally. It shall offer a platform for the various experts involved with PFAS contaminations to present and discuss current challenges and regulations as well as national and international management examples and strategies.
The conference is jointly organized by BMU and UBA as a hybrid event. Due to Corona restrictions the number of participants at the location in berlin is limited to 60 people; everyone else can attend virtually. The conference language is English. Translation will not be provided.
The participation is free of charge.
