Successful outcome of the fourth Meeting of the Parties on 20–22 November 2006 in Bonn

UNECE states in Bonn

The German Environment Ministry hosted the fourth Meeting of the Parties to the UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes from 20 to 22 November 2006 in Bonn, Germany.
Almost 140 representatives of 37 states and international organisations such as WHO, UNESCO and OSCE as well as non-governmental organisations such as the Global Water Partnership and WWF convened for 3 days of intense debate on various aspects of transboundary water management. The number of delegates was well above expectations.
