Workshop on Harmonisation of WEEE registers/Documentation
Organised by the German Presidency on 4th May a workshop took place about harmonisation of the register requirements, which differ because of the diverging implementation of Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment ("WEEE") in the 27 member states. More than 50 experts from 18 European states came together on this issue, not only representatives of ministries and regional registers, but also representatives and advisors of the EU Commission and of the industry sectors concerned.
