Green Champions - Guide to environmentally-sound large sporting events

Major sporting events are an important economic and image factor for the host venue. The Guideline "Green Champions" was elaborated in order to minimise the burdens on people and the environment and was based on the experience gained at the first climate-neutral football World Cup in Germany in 2006. The Guideline facilitates the development of tailor-made environmental concepts for all relevant aspects of national and international sporting events.
