From 2 to 4 July 2011 ministers and high-level representatives from 35 countries met in Berlin for the Petersberg Climate Dialogue II. The event was convened at the invitation of Federal Environment Minister Norbert Röttgen and the South African Minister of International Relations Maite Nkoana-Mashabane in order to work together on setting an ambitious but realistic framework for the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference in Durban (South Africa). Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel gave the key-note speech.
