General Information Urban Development

Our cities, towns and communities should continue to be the successful places worth living in that they are. Supporting them in this is the obligation and starting point for the National Urban Development Policy, as a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, the Standing Conference of Federal State Ministers and Senators responsible for Urban Development, Building and Housing, the German Association of Cities, and the German Association of Towns and Communities (DStGB).

The National Urban Development Policy brings together those actively involved and those interested in the topic of urban areas. It provides platforms for a lively exchange of views and engages with the trends that are evident in urban society and urban construction, examining examples of approaches for taking action and finding solutions.
